Brazilian Bounty
Brazilian medium/dark roast coffee is widely characterised by its smooth, full-bodied, and mellow profile, making it a classic, highly versatile, and approachable brew. Due to the lower growing altitudes and the common use of the natural (dry) and pulped natural processing methods, Brazilian beans typically exhibit low acidity and a buttery, heavy mouthfeel. The most prominent tasting notes are comforting, sweet flavours such as milk chocolate, caramel, and toasted nuts (almond, hazelnut), which make them an ideal base for espresso blends. While the traditional profile is earthy and sweet, certain speciality varietals and regions, like Yellow Bourbon or those using washed processing, can also offer brighter fruity notes such as dried fruit or subtle citrus.
